Course Description
Claroty’s Defenders workshop is designed to educate participants on the Operational Technology landscape as well as provide in depth understanding on how to deploy and use Claroty’s industry leading platform. Not only will individuals new to Operational Technology benefit from this XCEL Program workshop, but industry professionals, using and deploying Claroty or working in the Operational Technology industry, will solidify their knowledge gain further understanding into the platform.
The course prepares you to understand the Industrial cyber landscape as well as the Claroty Security Platform. The course will also touch on integrations with other commonly found technology in Industrial Environments including Network Security and SOC Tools.
Our course will also help prepare fundamental knowledge for the Claroty Technical Sales Professional Exam (Both CSTP 301 and CSTP-HC) and the Implementation Engineer Exam (CIE 401).

The Claroty Defenders workshop is designed for professionals and organizations responsible for securing cyber-physical systems, particularly in operational technology (OT) and industrial control system (ICS) environments.

- General Overview of the Current OT World - Learn about What OT and ICS are, and what they look like in the modern world.
- OT Cybersecurity Fundamentals - Understand the basics of OT Security and how these differ from traditional IT Systems, including insider trends in the industry, the challenges found in securing these systems and common cyber frameworks used.
- XIoT Journey to CPS Security - Understand how to effectively secure your systems on a CPS Journey by achieving consistent asset discovery, exposure management, threat detection and Network Segmentation with Claroty’s xDome Solution.
- The Claroty Product Portfolio - Learn about xDome, xDome for healthcare and the on-premise solution to xDome, CTD including installation and components of operation. You’ll also discuss xDome Secure Access and the trends and challenges faced with Remote Access tools and learn how the Claroty xDome SA access supports security tools.
- xDome Demo and Lab - Deep dive with our instructor into the xDome solution where we will discuss daily operation, adoption principles, navigation of the platform and injestion of network information into the platform. We will also look at the architecture of the platform to help you understand how Claroty achieves superior CPS visibility.
Prerequisites
This course is designed to assist individuals who are both seasoned and new to the OT industry, however we recommend participants have at least:
- Completed CCA and CCSP learning modules through Claroty’s XCEL Academy Program.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and networking fundamentals.
Participants must bring with them:
- A laptop to use for the entire session with an up-to-date browser.
