Fortinet FortiManager SD-Branch Workshop
Course Description
In this workshop, we’ll introduce the concept of Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) and demonstrate how Fortinet’s SD-WAN solution, managed via FortiManager, can streamline network operations, enhance performance and reliability, and cut costs.
Led by experienced trainers with deep product expertise and industry insight, the course is designed to accommodate a broad audience.
The course prepares you for select topics of the FCP FortiManager Administrator exam. However, additional study is necessary for other topics included in the certification course. Successfully passing the exam will earn you the corresponding exam badge.
This course is part of the FCP Network Security certification.

The workshop is designed for network engineers and administrators who have at least fundamental experience with FortiGate (FortiOS) and FortiManager.
Whether you’re just starting to explore SD-WAN or you’re already familiar with the technology, this workshop will provide you with a hands-on experience of working with Fortinet’s SD-WAN & SD-Branch solution utilising FortiManager.

The concept of Zero-Touch Provisioning
Which enables the automated provisioning and configuration of SD-WAN devices, making deployment and management much easier and more efficient.

Fortinet's SD-WAN solution and its features
Including centralised management and analytics, dynamic path selection, and application-aware routing
How to configure and deploy Fortinet's SD-WAN solution
In a simulated network environment.
Best Practices
For designing and managing an SD-WAN deployment.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a solid understanding of SD-WAN/ SD-Branch and Fortinet’s solution, as well as the knowledge and skills needed to design, deploy, and manage an SD-WAN/SD-Branch network utilising FortiManager.
Prerequisites
We recommend participants have at least:
- Knowledge of network protocols.
- Basic understanding of firewall concepts.
- Fundamental knowledge of FortiGate & FortiOS.
- Fundamental knowledge of FortiManager.
We recommend completing the Fortinet Networking Fundamentals free self-paced course or our FortiOS Workshops & FortiManager Fast Track if you do not have the above prerequisite knowledge.
Participants must bring with them:
- A laptop with an up-to-date browser that supports HTML 5.
- A FortiCloud Account.
- Microsoft Teams (for remote attendance).
