Course Description

In this FortiSASE workshop you'll gain hands-on experience in deploying a basic Secure Internet Access (SIA) solution using FortiSASE, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiClient. This workshop will guide you through essential configuration steps to build a secure and scalable network. 

Led by experienced trainers with deep product expertise and industry insight, the course is designed to accommodate a broad audience. 

The course prepares you for the key topics of the FCSS FortiSASE Administrator exam. However, additional study is necessary for other topics included in the certification course. Successfully passing the exam will earn you the corresponding exam badge. 

This course is part of the FCSS Secure Access Services Edge certification.

Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for professionals involved in the design, administration, and management of FortiSASE. 

Agenda

  • Set up FortiSASE as a SAML Service Provider (SP) and FortiAuthenticator as a SAML Identity Provider (IdP).
  • Configure VPN policies with web filtering and security profiles for group-specific SSO.
  • Implement Secure Private Access (SPA) to an existing FortiGate SD-WAN hub.
  • Verify service connection health and VPN status.
  • Explore advanced features like Inline-CASB and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
  • FortiManager to simplify and reduce administration overhead. 

Prerequisites

We recommend participants have at least: 

  • Knowledge of network protocols.
  • Basic understanding of firewall concepts.
  • Fundamental knowledge of FortiGate & FortiOS. 

We recommend completing the Fortinet Networking Fundamentals free self-paced course or our FortiOS Workshops if you do not have the above prerequisite knowledge. 

Participants must bring with them: 

  • A laptop with an up-to-date browser that supports HTML 5.
  • A FortiCloud Account.
  • Microsoft Teams (for remote attendance).
